Fisher House Orlando
The Friends of Fisher House Orlando is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization established solely to support the building of a Fisher House at the new Orlando VA Medical Center in Lake Nona. The Orlando Fisher House will provide assistance to Central Florida military Veterans and their families. This committee was formed to honor our American service members and their families who have stepped forward to defend our country and the ideals for which we stand…at great sacrifice to themselves and their families. After our heroes return home, it is our sacred obligation to serve them as well as they have served us. Over the past 25 years, the Fisher House Foundation has helped uphold this promise by extending comfort and security to 307,000 families while our wounded, injured or ill warriors receive essential medical care.
Orlando VA Medical Center at Lake Nona
As the Veterans population in Orlando and surrounding areas expanded, the Veterans Administration identified the need for a larger medical center in support of our Veterans. This resulted in the building of the new Orlando VA Medical Center at Lake Nona. In concert with the building of this new medical center, the Fisher House Foundation identified the need for and is supporting the building of the Orlando Fisher House at Lake Nona to support our service members and their families. Friends of Fisher House Orlando was established to answer this call to duty to support our service members and their families and to serve as an avenue for our local community, businesses, and individuals to give back to the proud patriots and their families that have willingly stepped forward to defend our nation and the values we hold dear.
